Gear

Organic Raincoat

While you can relax and enjoy your experience, I carry optical gear for the amusement of my clients, besides my Vortex Diamondback Binoculars 8×42, I also carry a Vortex Diamondback Angled Spotting Scope 20-60×80 with a Manfrotto Tripod 725B and an adapter to attach your phone in case you want to take pictures thru the lenses.

Especially to adventure at night, I use Nitecore NU25 Headlamps of 360 lumens with integrated Red lights that will allow us to appreciate the wildlife without disturbing it, depending on the type of adventure we are having, of these 3 are available for my clients. I also use a Nitecore MH12GTS Flashlight of 1800 Lumens with green and red filters, allowing us to have a better range of vision when needed and still without disturbing nature. Besides these, I also carry a Nitecore MT1U Ultraviolet Flashlight that will help us appreciate the different colors of nature. In addition, I also carry an external rechargeable battery at all times.

Safety comes first when exploring remote areas. Having been a volunteer at the Costarrican Red Cross during my teenage years allowed me to learn and develop useful skills not only to attend but to prevent emergencies. I like to be prepared at all times. I carry a fully equipped First Aid Kit W/ RCP Mask, as you should expect from any Guide* certified by ICT in Costa Rica, as we constantly receive refreshments to learn new techniques and keep up to date with the international first aid and resuscitation guidelines.
